S & S Sketch Challenge #31

Whew! with this card I have now caught up posting all the recent challenges from Operation Write Home! After such a busy July and first couple weeks in August, it feels good to have some time for crafting again!

The card I made for sketch #31 is for a 12 year old's birthday. I don't have any children of my own, and my neices and nephews are much older so I didn't find much in my stash to use for someone younger. I chose the Party Hearty Stamp Set from Stampin' Up for the sentiment and birthday hats. The cardstock is last year's In Colors Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay, such fun colors!

Michelle Perkett Studio meets OWH

The 8/17 midweek throwdown at Operation Write Home is featuring two stamps from Michelle Perkett Studio Mary Margaret and Goldilocks .. Goldilocks is the image I chose. Thanks Michelle for the images!
I colored with SU markers .. the cardstock is also SU, the buttons are from CTMH

OWH S & S sketch challenge #30

Another card using a sketch from Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog. I love these sketches that are posted every Sunday. I also like being involved with Operation Write Home, last month I sent a box filled with several birthday, miss you, thinking of you and Christmas cards on to the organization for our troops to send home family and friends.

Now on to the card! All of the product used on this card is older Stampin' Up product.

Long time, no post!

I see that I haven't posted anything on this blog since July 22. Since I started this blog that is the longest time I've gone without a new project :(.

Life has been busy! although last weekend I was able to attend a scrapbooking retreat in the Wisconsin Dells area with a few friends and I finished 16 pages!! When I find the time to take photos and upload I'll be sure to share some of them.

This week will be another busy one as I've got a vacation to Milwaukee planned. We're going down to the Wisconsin State Fair. My nieces and nephew will once again be showing their sheep at the fair and Aunt Robin likes to go watch the competition .. along with eating some of that great fair food!
