Use It Tuesday Challenge 8

Challenge #8 at the Use It Tuesday blog was to use flowers and a stamp you've never inked before on your card. I decided to use a CTMH kit that I recently purchased and had only used for one card before. I inked 2 small flowers and cut them out and attached them on the card next to the sentiment. I also used the May 28 sketch at Sassy Lil Card Sketches for the layout on this card

SPCC Challenge #100

This week Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combos is celebrating Challenge #100!!
The 3 colors chosen for this special challenge were :
Pacific Point
Pink Pirouette
Rich Razzleberry

On this first card I used the Pacific Point as my base, punched out squares with the pink pirouette then used my cricut to cut the irises in certainly celery and rich razzleberry. The sentiment is stamped in the razzleberry ink and is a stamp from SP & Company Ulitmate Sentiments I set.

the second card uses the pink pirouette as my base. I stamped images from the SU big pieces set in rich razzleberry and pacific point and punched out. The sentiment is from the SU Bring on the Cake set.

OWH midweek throwdown 5/11

This week's midweek throwdown challenge at Operation Write Home was to make a card with the theme "winged things" Lots of ideas -- birds, butterflys, bugs, airplanes, etc. The stamps on this card are from the new Strength & Hope set by Stampin' Up. $2 of the purchase of every set sold will be given to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We actually made this card at my SU club today (but I am buying the set for myself!) The butterfly was stamped on the white paper with blue ink, then we stamped another one in green ink with the edges sponged on with blue ink, cut that image out and popdotted it on top of the other.

more challenges for NSD

I'm continuing with the challenges at my Pink Stamper She now has all 12 challenges posted and I'm pleased to say that I have completed 8 of them! I'm pretty sure that'll be all for today though as I am getting tired. Luckily she is giving us until Monday to upload our projects so I still have time to do them all!

This first card is for Challenge 9, to use glitz and glam on your card. Lots of bling on this card. It's too dark for a photo so it was scanned, that's why it's a little blurry.

Challenge 10 was to feature a pet on your card or layout:

and challenge 11 to use green, pink and black on your project. I love this color combination, it turned out so cute :)

Thanks to Robyn at My Pink Stamper for a fantastic National Scrapbook Day!

Tubby Time

Another challenge for My Pink Stamper (challenge 7, to create a scrapbook page!)
I also used a sketch challenge at the Creative Soup challenge forum

family Christmas

Another challenge for NSD at My Pink Stamper .. to use a tag on your project
On this layout I used my cricut to cut a tag/label which is added to the bottom of my page

National Scrapbook Day Challenges with My Pink Stamper

Today is National Scrapbooking Day and to celebrate I'm participating with some challenges at a wonderful place called My Pink Stamper.

Today she is giving us 12 challenges with a chance to win some great prizes along the way. The first Challenge I completed was challenge #2, to use kraft cardstock on your project. I created this two page layout using kraft cardstock as my base.

The next challenge I finished was challenge #4 .. to create a Mother's Day project. I just recently received an order from CTMH which included this card kit, I changed the sentiment to a Mother's Day one.

The next challenge I tackled was challenge #3 - to make a card with a breast cancer theme. I chose to make this card with lots of pink on it!

Respect for Chickens Day!

Yep ... you read that right! This past week we had a day to celebrate the chicken and in honor of that Hambo Stamps gave us this farm chicken digi. The Hoedown challenge this week was to use the digi with striped and dotted papers.

On my first card I colored the chicken yellow and added a birthday sentiment from My Pink Stamper (the Tweetie Hoo Puns set)

On the second card I left the chicken white, although seeing the two together I like the colored version better! On this card I added a hello sentiment -- again from the Tweetie Hoo Puns set. The paper and cardstock were old papers from my stash and scrap paper piles

Welcome Baby!

This week's challenge at the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog was a simple one which included a tag. I remembered that I had a tag image stamp included in one of my most recent Stampin' Up purchases and when I pulled out the stamp it was for a baby.... PERFECT! A friend of my boyfriend's became a dad to a little boy this week so here is the card for him. The baby papers are from a stack I got at Target, and I didn't include the ribbon as I didn't think it looked boyish so I cut a strip of the striped paper to put in place of the ribbon

A tisket, A tasket ....

this week's challenge at the Hambo Stamps Hoedown was to use this Heart Basket-digi stamp with sentiment on a card with lace and flowers

I started with a flower background paper then I searched for lace, and lo and behold in all my ribbons I have none! So I used this pink felt ribbon that has a lacy edge to it. I colored my image with prismacolor pencils, matted it, inked my sentiment image and then applied to the card just above and below the "lace" For an extra touch I added a couple of prina flowers with a brad in the center
