OWH midweek throwdown meets sketch #110
This week's midweek challenge at the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Blog is to use a digital image on your card. There is a prize involved and that is from Bugaboo stamps so I chose to use a bugaboo image on my card. I haven't ventured into the world of copic coloring markers yet so the image is colored with prismacolor pencils. I chose to leave a sentiment off the front of the card, that way it can be used for any occasion. I also used this week's sketch from the same blog, I love sketches :)

Use It Tuesday Challenge 25
It's a Birthday Party this week on the Use It Tuesday blog! They are celebrating their one year birthday so the challenge was to make a project with a birthday theme and of course as the Use It Tuesday blog challenges every week.. use your stash!
For the birthday card I made I used a bugaboo digital stamp. I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils, I love coloring with them but I don't use them often enough! The cardstock and dotted patterned paper are some of the older papers in my stash,

butterfly card
Several months ago I found a cute shaped like a butterfly card on the cricut message boards
Today I decided to make one for myself, it was so easy and it turned out so cute!
The first thing you do is cut two bases using the shadow feature (for this card I used the serenade cartridge and one of the butterfly images)
then you make a score for the fold about 1.5 inches from the top, glue the two pieces together from the top to the fold and this is your card.
Next I cut the butterfly image's regular and layer cuts and glued them to my base. I trimmed the bottom of the butterly wings to a flat cut so the card would stand up.
I used Stampin Up products for my card and I'm going to send it to a former coworker .. she retired at the end of last year and now she's going through some tough times. Her mother passed away a couple weeks ago and next week she has to have back surgery so I thought I'd send her a cherry looking card.
SWS challenge 7
This week the stamping with Sami challenge at the SP Stamps blog was to make a card with a love theme
I used this week's sketch from the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog to make my card. First I used the hearty hearts background stamps to stamp two of the strips of paper. Next I used my Ulitmate Sentiments 1 set to stamp "I love you" on the second strip of paper. I accented the larger strip with gray cardstock and the smaller strips with gray ink

SP February Blog Hop
For the month of February to intoduce their new SP and Company stamps the Scrapmaster's Paradise blog is challenging you to use bright red on your project
I was inspired by Sami's featured card kit and used the inspiration to make a gift box with red cardstock. I embellished the top with hearts cut out with my cricut and embossed with my cuttlebug. I stamped a sentiment on it and there is my box. I filled it with doved chocolate hearts .. yummy!

CAS skip at OWH
This weekend at Operation Write Home's stars and stamps blog they are doing a small skip (like a blog hop but less participants) featuring Clean and Simple (CAS) cards. Ten people shared with us their CAS cards.
When I think clean and simple I think of a white card base with a small embellishment and sentiment. Here are a couple that I finished up for the CAS challenge. I embossed by bases and added some flowers with a sentiment. I made one a mother's day card because OWH is currently doing a card drive for Mother's Day cards which will be due to shippers by March 20. For the drive your box should contain 1/2 Mother's Day cards and 1/2 general sentiment cards.
