OWH midweek throwdown

This week's challenge at the midweek throwdown was to use one of two digital images from Tracey of the Stamping Boutique. I have printed the other image and hope to make a card with that sometime yet this week.

This was only the second time I tried digital stamps. I printed one image a little larger than the other, but I think both cards turned out quite cute! The patterned paper and thank you sticker are from Scenic Route.

Happy Father's Day!

This is a card I made several weeks ago with a sketch from the Stars and Stamps blog at Operation Write Home. I made the card for my boyfriend's father for Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

I made this card for my father a couple weeks ago. My dad is a retired dairy farmer so I used an old SU set from Stampin' Up .. On The Farm. I added the sheep because my brother raises sheep and has a few of them at dad's farm and my dad feeds them every day.

Stars and Stamps Sketch 21

This week's sketch at Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps blog reminded me of a quilt. I used some October Afternon paper squares and a stamp from Stampin' Up to create this cute little card

Sassy Lil Sketches

The June 14 sketch at SassyLilSketches is a card sketch. I used the sketch to make a birthday card for a friend with my new "lush" papers from My Mind's Eye .. love 'em

Stampin' Up swap card

I made 7 of these cards tonight! My Stampin' Up club is getting together on Saturday and we always swap cards made with SU product. This time I decided to use the retiring set One of a Kind and the retiring color Close to Cocoa. I also used pink piroquette cardstock and rose red and chocolate chip inks. The sentiment is a Studio G $1 stamp from Michaels.

The layout for the card is Day 100 challenge at 365 Cards All Lined Up .. to put 4 or more embellishments on one line

S & S sketch 20

It's Sunday! that means a new sketch at the Operation White Home's Stars and Stamps blog. I needed a birthday card for tomorrow, so of course knowing a new sketch was up, decided to use it on this card.
The receiver is a huge baseball fan so I decided I needed a baseball theme. The cardstock, ink, and sentiment stamp are from Stampin' Up. I cut my baseball player with the cricut baseball cartridge.
Thanks for looking!

Take me out to the Ballgame!!

Today is the first game of the season for the LaCrosse Loggers. The Loggers are a team of college players .. it's a league to help prepare them for the major leagues someday. They play 70 games in the Northwoods League between now and mid-August! My boyfriend Tony and I have season tickets for the 35 home games. Last year I think I missed 5 games. We even made it to a road game!
Our team last year lost the championship game to Rochester, wonder if the season will be as good this year???

This layout is a recent one I made of the Loggers mascots .. Louie the Logger and Logger Dog!
