SP Color Combo 143

I haven't partcipated in a color challenge at Scrapmasters Paradise in a few weeks.  This week I saw the colors and knew I had to join in!

I love brown and blue together and a while back I saw a Christmas card using these colors so I decided to use my SP & Company stamp set Ornament trees to create this card:

the sentiment is stamped with a stamp from the Ultimate Sentiments set.  I haven't purchased any of the colored products from SP& Company yet so I used Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Crumbcake and baja breeze for my colors.   The card corners are rounded but I scanned this so it's hard to see that.

One Sheet Wonder 12 x 12

A couple weeks ago I found a wonderful tutorial for a one sheet wonder.  For those unfamiliar with that it means using one sheet of paper to make multiple cards.   This particular tutorial by Seongsook Duncan of Seongsook's Creations used a 12x12 double sided sheet of designer paper.  She had multiple cuts for different options however I used the larger cut to make 8-9-10 cards.

Last weekend I made these birthday cards with the one sheet of designer paper:

then on Tuesday of this week Operation Write Home used the same template for a tutorial challenge on their blog  so of course I had to participate in that and make another set!  So this is the second set I made:

this set is all thank you cards.  On both sets the designer paper and cardstock is from Stampin' Up.  I used various stamp sets from SU and CTMH for the sentiments.  The circles and a couple of the thanks captions are cut with the cricut.   Thank you Seongook for the inspiration and thank you for looking!

OWH Sketch 173 and midweek Throwdown

I had a free morning so I decided to make a card for the Sunday Sketch Challenge at Operation Write Home
The midweek throwdown at OWH was to use a sentiment as your main image so I decied to try that also with the vintage verses set from SU.  These are the two cards I came up with:

Mother's Day card

I was working on a card from my mom today and I was looking through the booklet with my cricut artiste cartridge and saw this #1 Mom cut and thought it would make a cute card. The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog was to make a Mother's Day card with your cricut so I wanted to use that somehow on my card.  I also saw this weeks colors for the challenge at Dynamic Duos use my favorite blue, Baja Breeze, so I wanted to use those colors also and this is what I came up with:

The cardstock is SU baja breeze and daffodil delight.
The embossing folder is from cuttlebug.
I used the CTMH Artiste Cartridge fro the #1 Mom cut and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the circles
A couple flowers and a brad from my stash complete the card
