another pinterest inspired card

Hi folks!

I love pinning cards to pinterest (I have more than 1000 cards pinned there!) and tonight I made a card using one of pinned cards as inspiration

This particular one I made for my sister's birthday, but I made a couple more to add to my next box for Operation Write Home .. the midweek throwdown challenge is to use stripes on your cards so I'm using up this background paper to get that box filled!

Scrapmaster's Paradise color challenge 137

this morning I made this card for the color challenge on  Scrapmaster's Paradise.   The color combo is baby blue, yellow and light green so I chose to use bashful blue, so saffron and certainly celery from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment is a SP & Company stamp from the set Ultimate Sentiments and the butterfly is from jillibean.

I based the layout of the card from this one  I had pinned on pinterest from pinkblingcrafter

and then I stamped an envelope to match, it was Chrissie's challenge for the Scrapmaster's Paradise Online crop

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Challenge

Sami at Scrapmaster's Paradise has extended her weekend online crop challenges until next Monday!  more time for us to get some of these awesome challenges finished

This card is for the coloring challenge, print or stamp an image and color it!  Mine is colored with Stampin' Up markers and it's an old digi stamp I had printed out a long time ago, sorry I don't have it labeled so I can't give credit where credit is due

OWH sketch challenge 163

more cardmaking!

I used today's sketch from Operation Write Home to create these two cards, one follows the sketch exactly, the other one changed a little bit.  The flowers are pop dotted on the second card, that's one it scanned a little dark.  The second card is also being submitted to a tic tac toe challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise ... I chose flowers, ribbon, patterned paper as my trio.

then I made an anyhero card using a sketch at Scrapmaster's Paradise

weekend challenges 3/9

I'm back with a couple more projects for the weekend challenges at Scrapmaster's Paradise

this first picture is of the shaped card that I made for the "getting into shape" challenge

sorry it's not a great picture but it is dark/dreary here today!  I made my card with a butterfly cut on the cricut cartridge called serenade.  The base is two of the shadow features, I glued the top 1.5 inches together and the rest is open to make the card.  Then I used the regular cut for the front of the card.

this is what I came up with for a creative border challenge:   does a border of baseballs qualify? the balls are cut with cricut using the sports mania cartridge

the letters in the title are some thickers .. a steal I got a couple weeks ago at scrapbooksteals.com

Have a Tweet Day!!

Here's a fun little card I made for several challenges.  It is a great card for spring although with a forecast of 5-8 inches of snow arriving tonight is spring really only 11 days away???

Thanks for looking!!

challenges:

Bye Bye Birdie - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog (bird from cherry limeade cartridge)
Fun Fold challenge - Scrapmaster's Paradise ( I used a gate fold on the card)
Use your Tools challenge at Piece of Scrarp - I used my cricut and my scoring board

patterned paper from MME
sentiment from My Pink Stamper
assorted cardstocks from my stash of scraps, base of card is SU

Scrapmaster's Paradise online crop

I have a few more cards done for the weekend crop at Scrapmaster's Paradise
this has been a prodcutive crop for me!

This card was for the challenge to use at least 4 patterned papers.  All the papers are from a designer paper pack from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment is a digital stamp and I poppped it up although I'm going to replace it, this one printed kind of blurry

These two cards were for the challenge to use a digital element on your project.  I used a digital stamp for the top card.  The bottom card both the stamp and sentiment are digital.  I colored the images with stampin' up markers

Thanks for Looking!  And stay tuned, who knows what else I can accomplish this weekend

Twine Challenge

the current trends challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise is to use twine on your layout
I have several spools of twine but rarely use it so this was a good challenge for me

here's the card I came up with, using twine at the bottom.  The basic layout of the card is from one I pinned at pinterest, the trees are from the retired SP & Company set Ornamental Trees, the sentiment is from Ultimate Sentiments.   If you're following my weekend craft adventures I also used this card for a challenge at Piece of Scrap .. that challenge was to use buttons, brads and bows as embellishments on your card

Online crop projects 3/8

This weekend I'm home without much to do so I'm working on scrapbook pages and cards!  I'm hosting a virtual crop over on the forums at Piece of Scrap and Sami at Scrapmaster's Paradise is hosting an online crop in anticipation of her new releases.

Here are a couple of projects from Friday:

This first layout of my adorable little great-niece Brooklynne was used for an Easter Challenge at POS and for a stamp on a layout challenge at SP.   I stamped the letters in Easter and also used my polka dot stamp on a couple of the easter eggs which I cut with my cricut

This is my adorable great nephew Nicholas, this was a sketch challenge at POS

This easter card was made for a recipe challenge at SP - use one main image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments.  I actually used 3 of 1 embellishment - the buttons

Thanks for Looking - and stay tuned - I hope to work on a lot more crafty projects this weekend :)

Operation Write Home Sketch 162

it's been a few weeks since I've gotten to play with the weekly sketch challenge at Operation Write Home

I wanted to use one of my newest SU stamps, this one is from the Sale-a-bration set Vintage Verses.
I chose a couple of patterned papers that said vintage wallpaper to me and using the sketch I came up with this card

SP Color Combo 36

This morning I decided to play around with the latest color combo challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise.  The color combo was yellow, green and bright pink.

I chose to use my newest SP & Company stamp set .. Easter Eggy .. which was retired last weekend, so if you want it go get it now!!

this was my first attempt:

I didn't like the bright pink for the background so I changed it to a paler pink but I still wasn't happy with it, so next I created this one:

I like this one much better!   Hope you do too, thanks for Looking :)
